For the first time, HFHWV has decided to award a female and a male volunteer of the year for the volunteer with the most hours for the calender year of 2007.

Volunteer of the Month

Every month, the Volunteer Support Committee reviews Volunteer of the Month applications and chooses a builder and a non-builder to be named Volunteer of the Month. At HFHWV, these volunteers receive a certificate and a special blue Habitat hat that only these recipients can get. They are also recognized at the Annual Volunteer Picnic.

Habitat West Valley Annual Volunteer Picnic - We are very appreciative of all the hard work our volunteers do in building our houses, guiding the organization, working in the store and working in the office. To thank our volunteers, we hold an annual volunteer picnic in March.

Name Badges

Another way we recognize our volunteers who put many hours into building dreams for our families, is to reward them with a name badge. For every level of hours our volunteers reach, they receive a professionally made name badge to wear all year. All totals of hours are since 2002 to present.
