Construction This committee discusses the progress of the homes under construction and learns skills for the construction of new homes. Works with site supervisors to ensure a safe building environment and improve general construction methods.

This committee develops and maintains relationships with small, medium and large churches in the area with the purpose of becoming involved with Habitat through outreach ministry, building, funding, or praying.

Acts as a mentor to the families during the process of becoming a homeowner. This committee is a mentor for the partner families through the “sweat equity” and through their first year of owning a new home. There is a bond created between the committee member and the families, used as support and a friend, to keep the family on track and a resource for the family through this time of change.

Reviews prospective applications and conducts interviews for potential homeowners. This committee selects the families through the process of screening the applications, going on home visits to meet the applicants and explain more thoroughly Habitat for Humanity and witness the conditions they live in. The committee member presents the applicant to the committee and assists in the process of accepting or rejecting the applicant.

Golf Committee
Tells the Habitat story to the public through special events, home dedications, volunteer dinners, and the Annual Meeting. This committee is also responsible for developing marketing and public relations strategies for HFHWV. Committee members write news releases and PSA's, design collateral such as brochures and invitations, write articles for the newsletter, develop website initiatives and create ways to increase awareness which has positioned HFHWV as a key non-profit in the Valley area.

Ensures that the fiscal needs of the affiliate are met and shares the opportunity to support Habitat with cash and in-kind gifts with the community. Focuses on direct mail, planned giving and special events.

Volunteer Support Encourages community members to volunteer. This committee focuses on the recruitment and management of volunteers.
